Here
is an update from Van:
Just coming home from S Africa after an unbelievable 8 week tour
with Enrique. It was my first trip to all of these countries
(see tour sched.) with the exception of Australia and Singapore
and it's amazing to see the universal language of music having
it's affect on different cultures. One day we'd be in Kiev, the
next in S Africa, then Egypt, India, Bankok, Russia almost too
much to remember with out documenting it with my camera. The
tour ended in Johannesburg where I was invited to do a drum
clinic at Marshall Music. I'd like to thank the 300 plus
musicians who came to support this clinic as well as Dayne
Marshall and Vater Stick who made it all happen. It was
fascinating to hear the other ideas of the local talent. See www.sadrummer.com
for more info. Now it's time to get busy recording Nena's
upcoming CD featuring many songs written in Mallorca, Spain.
We'll also be taking time off to play some shows in and around
Germany so check the site for dates and keep in touch.
