I just finished recording an amazing CD of music
by Steve Morse and vocalist Sarah Spencer.
It defies categorization and is some of the most
beautiful music and lyrics I have heard. From a drumming perspective
the songs called for a light, percussive approach. Excited
to hear these mixes.
In addition to SMB/Dregs dates there seems to be some talk of
another SMB CD in the near future...more on that later.
I'm starting co-production on Keren DeBerg's second CD. Her
First CD "Gone" which I co-produced and co-wrote 3 tracks on has done great and was
featured on NBC's "Scrubs", "Miss Match",
the WB's "Everwood" and MTV's "Laguna
Beach". These new songs are amazing and tracking will start
in November.
New tour dates have been added to the TOUR
page for Enrique Iglesias and the Steve Morse Band (with the
Dixie Dregs).

Hey Folks, it's been way too long since I've been in touch. I
guess there has been a bit too much on my plate lately. I had the
pleasure of working with Enrique Iglesias for the first time since New
Years. We played for 150,000 in Malagar, Spain. Then a private
concert in Sardinia. My travel plans changed while in Spain after I got
news that we had to start (and finish) drum tracks on a new Nena CD in
addition to concerts in Germany and Switzerland. It's her first CD of
covers and featuring a wide variety of music. David Bowie, Joni
Mitchell, T Rex, The Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan were some of the
artists covered. It's one thing to record great songs and it's
another to make them your own. We are very happy with how this music turned
out and will be in touch about a release date. While in Germany I was
also recording some of Steve Morse's music-more details about that
later. Directly after getting home from that long trip headed to
Spin Studios in Queens to track drums on Vinnie Moore's new solo CD.
Vinnie's influences are very diverse on this release and I'm overly
excited to hear the final result. Thank you all for keeping in touch and

We apologize for any inconvenience
regarding the tour dates recently posted for NENA. There was
some confusion about the dates and cities. The correct dates are
posted now.
Also, keep an eye out for Van's feature in the German Drums and
Percussion magazine due out in March which was done during
Nena's "Willst Du mit mir Gehn" tour in
Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
