which is already getting a lot of action on MTV's "The
Hills".
Enrique's Insomniac CD has had one hit after the next in Europe
and the Spanish markets so we've been busy with touring and TV
promo.
Prior to this I spent four days on Steve Morse's farm with Steve
and Dave LaRue working up some new songs which I'll start
tracking drums for at Live Wire Studios in NYC.
Other highlights: Tracking drums for Enrique's new Spanish CD,
The Today Show, Billboard Awards, The Tonight Show, The Imperial
Festival in Costa Rica (with Seal, Smashing Pumpkins, Duran
Duran).
Upcoming highlights: Isle of MTV in Malta June 25 with One
Republic, N.E.R.D., Nena's August Tour of Germany. Upcoming
Steve Morse band release and tour dates

Thanks for checking in. There was a lot of action the last few
months of '07-work with Julian Velard, Pierce Turner, Vinnie
Moore, producing Keren DeBerg's new CD, a 10 week tour with
Enrique Iglesias. '08 has started with recording and writing for
Nena's new CD in Stuttgart, Germany, recording a new Steve Morse
Band CD in Ocala, FL and NYC, a continuation of Enrique's world
tour in Central America in addition to dates in the US(Madison
Sq Garden Feb 9, Jay Leno Feb 8, Regis and Kelly Feb 11).
Also, my studio in Manhattan's lower east side is up and
running for my productions and recordings. Our boutique style of
production and recording is based out of this comfortable
relaxed writing environment which also boasts world class multi
tracking quality. If you are interested in tracking in person or

Hi all. Just finished a summer full of
travel. Nena Open Air shows and promo work with Enrique
dominated the calendar. I'm also co-producing songs for
Keren DeBerg's newest CD-amazing new songs and musicians- Mark
Plati(Bowie, Robbie Williams), Richard Fortus(GnR, Psych Furs),
John Andrews(Nena, Gavin DeGraw), Paul Dileo(Nena, Billy Joel),
Rob Clores(Black Crows, Enrique I.) Derek Von Krogh(Nena, Kim
Wilde). I've been tracking drums for Rene Lopez, Nena's
"Cover Me" CD due out Sept 28, Julian Velard, The
Pierces, and Vinnie Moore. Check my schedule, if something looks
good come and say hello.

I (the webmaster) would like to apologize
for the missing link to the new pictures in gallery 6. The page
was there but the link was missing. Oops! It has now been fixed and is
functional. And now for something completely different...
A message from Van..
I'd like to thank everyone for coming out to the
Steve Logan Memorial Jam at the Bitter End
on April 10th. For those of you who didn't know Steve,
he was an amazing friend, personality and musician who passed
away in Poland recently. He worked with David
Sanborn, John Scofield, Hiram Bullock,
Michael Franks, Adam Holzman's Mona Lisa Overdrive and many
more. I'd also like to thank the musicians who came out to play
in memory of Steve, Adam Holzman, Hiram
Bullock, Dave Phelps, Jane Getter, Steve
Wolf, Andy Hess, Tony Mason, Irving Louis Lattin, Dan Cazio,
George Lax and Adrian Harper in addition to Steve's family who
flew out from Cleveland for the event.
Nena's new CD "Cover Me" is now turning into a double
CD and is close to being finished.

I just finished recording an amazing CD of music
by Steve Morse and vocalist Sarah Spencer.
It defies categorization and is some of the most
beautiful music and lyrics I have heard. From a drumming perspective
the songs called for a light, percussive approach. Excited
to hear these mixes.
In addition to SMB/Dregs dates there seems to be some talk of
another SMB CD in the near future...more on that later.
I'm starting co-production on Keren DeBerg's second CD. Her
First CD "Gone" which I co-produced and co-wrote 3 tracks on has done great and was
featured on NBC's "Scrubs", "Miss Match",
the WB's "Everwood" and MTV's "Laguna
Beach". These new songs are amazing and tracking will start
in November.
New tour dates have been added to the TOUR
page for Enrique Iglesias and the Steve Morse Band (with the
Dixie Dregs).

Hey Folks, it's been way too long since I've been in touch. I
guess there has been a bit too much on my plate lately. I had the
pleasure of working with Enrique Iglesias for the first time since New
Years. We played for 150,000 in Malagar, Spain. Then a private
concert in Sardinia. My travel plans changed while in Spain after I got
news that we had to start (and finish) drum tracks on a new Nena CD in
addition to concerts in Germany and Switzerland. It's her first CD of
covers and featuring a wide variety of music. David Bowie, Joni
Mitchell, T Rex, The Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan were some of the
artists covered. It's one thing to record great songs and it's
another to make them your own. We are very happy with how this music turned
out and will be in touch about a release date. While in Germany I was
also recording some of Steve Morse's music-more details about that
later. Directly after getting home from that long trip headed to
Spin Studios in Queens to track drums on Vinnie Moore's new solo CD.
Vinnie's influences are very diverse on this release and I'm overly
excited to hear the final result. Thank you all for keeping in touch and
I'll be back with more news soon. Van

We apologize for any inconvenience
regarding the tour dates recently posted for NENA. There was
some confusion about the dates and cities. The correct dates are
posted now.
Also, keep an eye out for Van's feature in the German Drums and
Percussion magazine due out in March which was done during
Nena's "Willst Du mit mir Gehn" tour in
Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
